Cam-Driven Chain Conveyor Powers High-Precision Ultrasonic Radar Assembly Line

An ultrasonic radar sensor is made of several small, precise parts: the ultrasonic transducer, an anti-vibration pad, a sound-absorbing muffler, the housing, the electronic circuit board, a sealing cover, the top cover and the connector. To assemble these parts well, every station needs a conveyor that is stable and that stops in exactly the right place. The cam-driven chain conveyor is built to do this.
1. Compact Footprint
The conveyor uses a closed-loop layout, with workstations arranged tightly along the track. For the same production capacity, the line takes up much less floor space, and operators get more room for operation and maintenance.
2. Smooth Operation
A cam drive with an optimized acceleration and deceleration curve lets the conveyor start and stop without impact and run without vibration. This reduces disturbance to precision workpieces and to the actuators at each station.
3. High-Precision Positioning
Chain link length error is held within +0.05 mm per link, and repeat positioning accuracy on the X, Y and Z axes reaches ±0.05 mm. This meets the needs of precision assembly and inspection stations.
4. Long Maintenance Intervals
High-strength chain links work with an I-beam support frame. Self-lubricating polymer materials and dust covers are available as options. Together they reduce wear and extend the time between maintenance.
